Harvey McKay has been tearing up the scene of late with his own unique brand of techno. His massive Rich Jones remix on Alan Fitzpatrick's '8 Sided Dice' label has been firing up the charts. It was no.1 in Beatport's week 20 must hear techno tracks and has been Beatport nominated and charted by Adam Beyer. Harvey's huge remix of Slam's 'City Destroyer' is due out this month on Slam's own imprint 'Paragraph'. Harvey McKay’s dark and menacing cast of Techno has been gaining many followers over the past year and his take on City Destroyer doesn’t stray from this standard. Stepping things up a gear, he combines crisp hi-hats with ripping sub-bass and the haunting pads of the original. Toward the latter half of the remix Harvey brings in a dissonant synth, adding a feeling of uneasiness and weirdness to a storming remix. Harvey has many DJ and live set dates booked over the summer, the massive T-in-the-Park festival being one of them. He will be performing in the infamous 15 thousand capacity Slam Tent. This will be Harvey's Slam Tent debut where he will be playing a live set on the Sunday alongside a massive lineup including Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Andrew Weatherall, Ivan Shmagghe, Pan Pot and Gary Beck.
