Reprise Music Group
Hailing from NYC, Zambri generated some buzz after releasing their self-titled, debut EP last year. Blogs and magazines try to pinpoint their unique sound, having compared them to the likes of Kate Bush, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Siouxsie, Bjork, Elastica, Cocteau Twins, New Order and My Bloody Valentine. The band are currently working on their debut album, and playing some national tour dates.

Sisters, Jessica and Cristi Jo, have been playing together in New York since before they hit double digits. As the prolific songwriters and front women for Zambri, they create a magnetic sound, which many have coined, "apocalyptic pop". With an arresting stage performance, Zambri's moody sound seems to bypass the brain and enter the bloodstream.
Cristi Jo and Jessica have never felt connected to a band, until now. The Bang For Changes EP marks the first release they consider a product of Zambri, the band. They met Chris Coombs (guitar) while in Boston. When C & J returned to NYC, Chris spent weekend after weekend on their couch, until he finally made the move. Shortly after, they were joined by Carrie Ingber (bass). Though Carrie did some major relocating, they never let each other go. Finally, they met the drums. When Andy Bianchi played them simultaneously with his SK5, they all knew it was on.
The Guardian sums it up with, “They invoke a sense of doom as well as its mirror image, mood. The raw material is ravishing, sublimely weird rock n’ roll.”
