For ClearSkyz fifth release, DJ Die opens the labels doors and welcomes in one of the drum & bass world’s most prolific artists; Total Science. Joining the Oxford duo for this excursion are Brazilian wonder-kid S.P.Y and vocalist Riya (C.I.A./Soul:R/Metalheadz).
‘Testimony’ is a sun-drenched affair, complete with Rhodes, piano, guitars and Riya’s sumptuous, uplifting vocals, layered upon classic breaks that build effortlessly to a punishing drop of epic Jungle proportions.
On the reverse is ‘Jericho’, an altogether darker number, opening with swirling atmospherics that descend into a bass-lead assault on the senses complete with mentasm stabs and skewed vocal edits.
